Ayumu Miyamoto, is a young doctor who has been assigned to Shinano General Hospital. In addition to being an orthopedic surgeon, he is also assigned to the “mountain medicine department,” which the hospital has begun to focus on in recent years. Ayumu has only just returned to his hometown in Nagano Prefecture for the first time since graduating high school, but he’s soon confronted with reliving a trauma from his past. He has no specific goals or ambitions as a doctor, but as he spends time with the mountain medical team he begins to come into his own.
