The main character, Kazuki, is a university lecturer teaching Animal Behavior Studies. Kazuki began life as a college lecturer six months ago, at the recommendation of his lecturer with whom he studied in college. However, because Kazuki becomes totally immersed when it comes to animals and ignores everything else around him, he cannot manage to follow the university rules and spends day after day being scolded. This is not to mention his habit of putting off things that trouble him, and his inability to keep track of time. People are always asking him, “Do you not have any common sense?” That same quirky lecturer has some “unusual” courses. He assigns tasks to his students, asks them each to express their personal opinion, and finally tells them that he doesn’t know the correct answer, which distresses the students. People close to Kazuki are always confused and oftentimes irritated by his behavior. On the other hand, other people find their values changed from watching Kazuki examine things from his unique viewpoint rather than by using common sense or fixed ideas. Interacting with Kazuki, they are reminded of that carefree, innocent time they had during their childhood, when they could get totally lost in the things they loved.
